What you'll read in this post:

Even though the game has not been around for too long, the official Manor Lords Discord channel is full of life. That is why it's a great thing that SlavicMagic, the lead developer behind Manor Lords, is a part of that Discord channel as well.

Why? Because it's very easy to just drop a question and gather votes!

Next Goals?

The question that was most recently asked is:

What's the best goal for early access in 2024?

It is a vote with a 1 answer per member system. Greg offers 5 possible answers to choose from:

  1. Castles, town walls and siege mechanics
  2. AI cities and diplomacy
  3. Interesting late game content & economy challenges
  4. Simply a perfect balance and polish with no bugs
  5. Other map types (river, coast) + industries

There is no further explanation to these options. So we don't know what "perfect balance" or "interesting late game content" would entail.

Still, the descriptions are enticing enough for people to start casting their votes!

Current votes

The vote was started May 5th and will run for 7 days. At not even 24 hours old, already over 31.500 people have cast their vote!

Interesting late game content & economy challenges is on the losing end of the vote with a mere 11% at the time of writing. But, it's not much of a gap between the bug free experience and balance (13%) and the other map types + industries (15%).

At the top, Castles are runner up with 27% of all votes. Standing proudly at #1 is AI cities and diplomacy with almost 11k votes of Discord members.

IMHO

For me, it was a tie between AI cities and Industries, but I took the latter of those two. I would love to see more different types of industry.

For instance, more Tavern related production chains. Aside from Ale, there is nothing to get your families drunk. Maybe some Berry-based spirit like Pálinka, ability to import wine or to serve sheep's milk for the younger family members.

Talking about wine, wouldn't it be great if only 1 or 2 regions could produce it (emulating France and Italy, the medieval wine producers) and that other regions can only import if those 2 regions are exporting?
