What is Honey in Citadelum and how do you get it?
Posted on Oct 24, 2024
Honey is one of ten resources you can't produce yourself. Here is how to get it anyway.
What you'll read in this post:
In Citadelum, you can't produce all the resources you can see in the Resources tab of your Management overview.
But, all resources to play a certain part in the game. These are all involved in trade routes with other cities. Some of these resources are even required as objectives.
What is Honey in Citadelum
In Citadelum, honey is one of these resources you can't produce.
The only way to get it, is to buy it using a trade route.
Honey was a well known product in the Roman Empire. It was used by those practising medicine to use as an antiseptic and for its health benefits. As the empire still lacked access to sugar at that point, it was also used as a sweetener. Honey was even used in rituals and religious ceremonies sometimes.
Beekeeping was done throughout the Roman Empire, especially in the regions in which the Citadelum campaign is focused. It would make sense if you could produce it yourself, only requiring the addition of an Apiary. To increase the role honey plays in Citadelum, it could be required by doctors to serve higher level citizens or as a consumption requirement for highest level Patricians.
What is Honey used for in Citadelum
At the moment, honey does not play any part in Citadelum.
Honey is not used for any objective in any mission. Honey is not required by any level of Plebeians or Patricians to level up to a higher housing level, nor does it serve as an input resource for any kind of production building.
