I'm a big theme park fan. Especially rollercoasters are my - and my daughters - jam. But in between getting our bones rattled, there are toilet brakes, food must be devoured and mementos bought.

Running a successful park in Jurassic World Evolution 3 isn't just about keeping your dinosaurs happy. It's about keeping your guests comfortable, too.

Guest Comfort directly affects how appealing your park is, how many people visit, and ultimately, how much money you make. Not only that, you will also be facing Guest Comfort as campaign objectives

Let’s break down how Guest Comfort works, what affects it, and how to maximize it for your best park yet.

πŸ™‹ What Is Guest Comfort?

Guest Comfort is an ongoing measure of how well your park meets the needs of every visitor. If your guests are unhappy, they’ll complain, spend less, and your Park Appeal will drop.

That, in turn, reduces your Potential Guest count. Meaning fewer people will want to visit your park at all, bringing in less money to invest in new dinosaurs.

Guest Comfort is made up of four key components:

  1. Transport Coverage
  2. Restroom Coverage
  3. Shelter Coverage
  4. Accommodation

Each plays an important role in keeping your park smooth, safe, and an enjoyable experience for your guests.

🚠 1. Transport Coverage: Keep Guests Moving

Nothing ruins a vacation faster than walking across half the island to reach the next viewing area. Transport Coverage ensures guests can move easily between attractions.

Tips to increase transport coverage:

  • Use monorails or transport hubs to connect key areas of your park.
  • Keep stations near major guest facilities, hotels, and popular dinosaur enclosures.
  • Avoid long walking distances between attractions. Tired guests are unhappy guests!

🚻 2. Restroom Coverage: Don’t Make Guests Wait

Have you ever visited a theme park and had to run to make it to the toilet on time? I have!

Restroom Coverage might not sound glamorous, but it’s essential. Parks with poor restroom access quickly see comfort ratings plummet.

Tips to increase restroom coverage:

  • Place restrooms near food courts, guest viewing areas, and transport hubs.
  • Use Management View to check restroom coverage. Any red or orange zones need attention.
  • Build extra restrooms in high-traffic areas before complaints start rolling in.

πŸ›– 3. Shelter Coverage: Safety First

When storms hit or dinosaurs start roaming your paths, your guests need to feel safe. That’s where shelters come in.

Without enough Shelter Coverage, guests will panic during bad weather or dinosaur escapes, lowering your comfort rating.

Tips to increase shelter coverage:

  • Build Emergency Shelters that cover wide guest areas.
  • Make sure shelters are easily accessible from hotels and viewing platforms.
  • Use Management View during storm events to spot unsafe areas.

🏨 4. Accommodation: A Place to Rest

Even though I visit theme parks regularly, I rarely stay overnight. Hotel prices are usually way too steep for us. Luckily, in Jurassic World Evolution, guests have very deep pockets.

The most amazing park isn’t much fun if guests have nowhere to stay. Hotels directly affect Guest Comfort by giving visitors a place to rest after exploring your park.

Tips to increase accommodation coverage:

  • Build hotels near major attractions or entertainment zones.
  • Upgrade to Large Hotels as your park expands.
  • Don’t forget to provide nearby amenities. Guests love being close to food, drinks, and shops.

🧭 How to Monitor and Improve Guest Comfort

To see how your park is doing, open the Control Room and click open the Site Economy page. The Guest Comfort rating is visible as an average over the 4 categories, but also split up over the different components. If something’s dragging it down:

  1. Identify which category is low.
  2. Use Management Views to locate coverage gaps.
  3. Add new facilities — transport lines, restrooms, shelters, or hotels — where needed.
  4. Review your Guest Comfort again and repeat until your rating is solid green.
