Stardew Valley Pelican Town shop opening hours
Posted on Jan 11, 2025
There are various shops in Pelican Town in Stardew Valley where you can buy and sell products. They're not open all the time though.
What you'll read in this post:
- The Shops in Pelican Town
- General Closing Days
- Pierre's General Store
- Marnie's Ranch
- Willy's Fish Shop
- Robin's Carpenter's Shop
- Clint's Blacksmith shop
- The Stardrop Saloon
- JojaMart
In Stardew Valley, you have to rely on several shops and NPCs to advance in your game.
For instance, to start your farming empire, you will need to have seeds to plant. If you want to produce milk, you will have to buy a cow.
Not all shops are open all the time though. Just like in real life, shops have opening hours and have days on which they're closed. Unlike real life, there isn't a directory your character can use to search online.
That's why an overview of all shops and their opening times is a great resource to have on hand!
The Shops in Pelican Town
So let's start with the most important information: what are the opening times and closed days of every shop in the Stardew Valley village, Pelican Town.
Shop | Days closed | Opening hours | Exceptions |
Pierre's General Store | Wednesday | 09:00am to 5:00pm (17:00) | Open on Wednesdays with Community Center restored. |
Marnie's Ranch | Monday, Tuesday | 9:00am to 4:00pm (16:00) | Fall 18th, Winter 18th. |
Fish Shop (Willy) | Saturday | 9:00am to 5:00pm (17:00) | If it rains on Saturday, Willy will be open after all. Has quite a few exceptions. |
Carpenter's Shop (Robin) | Tuesday | 9:00am to 5:00pm (17:00) | The shop will close at 4pm on Fridays. Also not available if she's working on a building on your farm. |
Blacksmith shop (Clint) | Open every day | 9:00am to 4:00pm | When the Community Center is restored, the shop will close on Friday. |
The Stardrop Saloon | Open every day | 12:00am - 12:00pm | |
JojaMart | Open every day | 9:00am to 11:00pm | Closes down if you complete the Community Center. |

All shops are closed on certain festival days. These are:
- Egg Festival: Spring 13

- Luau: Summer 11
- Stardew Valley Fair: Fall 16
- Spirit's Eve: Fall 27

Pierre's General Store
Pierre's grocery store is the place to be if you want to buy seeds. Not only seeds, but also saplings, fertilizer and soil, some basic ingredients like sugar and oil and some recipes. You can also sell your own produce: vegetables, fruit and artisan goods.
Fun fact: Any products you sell can (and will) be sold to other villagers. When talking to villagers, you might be confronted by their opinions about the products they bought.
Pierre's shop is closed on Wednesdays. If the Community Center has been restored, Pierre's General Store will also be open on Wednesdays. A good reason to spend some time on restoring the Community Center!
The opening hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm (17:00) on all opening days.
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Green Rain in year 1
- Spring 15, 16 or 17 if Pierre is a Vendor during the Desert Festival
Marnie's Ranch
Marnie will sell all kinds of animals you need to get started with your farming empire. As long as you can house them (by having Robin build a Coop or Barn), Marnie will have the animals for you.
In her shop, Marnie also sells tools needed to manage your animals: Milk Pail, Shears and the Auto-Grabber (once you hit Farming level 10).
You can find the Ranch south of your farm. If you leave your farmland through the bottom exit, you can't miss it. DMarnie's Ranch is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Her shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm (16:00) Wednesday to Sunday.
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Green Rain in year 1
- Spring 17 (Desert Festival, but only if bus service is restored)
- Fall 18 (her birthday)
- Winter 18 (annual trip to Night Market)
Willy's Fish Shop
The Fish Shop at the beach is Willy's home. It is available from day 2 in your game. He will sell you some fish related items, like bait, bobbers and poles.
You can sell any of these items to Willy:
- Fish (fresh, not smoked)
- Bait
- Tackles
- Roe (fresh, not aged)
- Foraged items from the beach like muscles (but not seaweed).
Willy's Fish Shop is closed on Saturdays (unless it's raining).
His shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm (17:00)
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Green Rain in year 1
- Spring 9 (Doctor's appointment)
- Spring 15, 16 and 17 (Desert festival, but only if bus service is restored)
- Summer 20 and 21 (Trout Derby)
- Summer 28 (Dance of the Moonlight Jellies)
- Winter 12 and 13 (SquidFest)
- Winter 15, 16 and 17 (Night Market)
Robin's Carpenter's Shop
Robin's Carpenter's Shop is the place to be to get your buildings constructed or upgraded. It is located in the Mountain area north of Pelican Town.
At the shop, you can perform a few actions:
- Buy and sell building related resources, like wood, stone and clay
- Upgrade your Farmhouse
- Construct new or upgrade existing farm buildings like coop, barn and silo
Robin's Carpenter's Shop is closed on Tuesdays.
The shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm (17:00). Except for Fridays: 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Spring 16 (Desert Festival, but only if Bus Service is restored)
- Spring 15 or 17 (if the bus service is restored and Robin is a vendor during the Desert Festival)
- Green Rain in year 1
- Summer 18 (Doctor's appointment)
Clint's Blacksmith shop
You will visit Clint's Blacksmith Shop to get your tools upgraded, but that is not all Clint can do. The Blacksmith is located to the east of Pelican Town, just above the Library.
At the shop, you can perform a few actions:
- Buy and sell ores, like coal and iron
- Upgrade your tools
- Process Geodes and Mystery Boxes
Clint's Blacksmith is open every day, as long as the Community Center has not been repaired. As soon as you have restored the Community Center, the Blacksmith will be closed on Friday.
The shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm (16:00).
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Spring 16 (Desert Festival, but only if Bus Service is restored)
- Spring 15 or 17 (if the bus service is restored and Robin is a vendor during the Desert Festival)
- Green Rain in year 1
- Winter 16 (Doctor's appointment)
The Stardrop Saloon
Smack bang in the middle of Pelican Town is The Stardrop Saloon. It is owned by Gus, who employs Emily.
At The Stardrop Saloon, you can perform a few actions:
- Buy food items, like Beer, Spaghetti and Pizza
- Buy recipes, like for Hashbrowns, Pancakes and Maki Roll
- Play Arcade games
- Talk to villagers
The Stardrop Saloon is open every day. The shop opening hours are from noon to midnight, 12:00pm to 12:00pm (0:00).
Exceptions to this schedule are:
- Spring 15 (Desert Festival, but only if Bus Service is restored)
- Spring 15 or 17 (if the bus service is restored and Gus is a vendor during the Desert Festival)
- Green Rain in year 1, when the Saloon is open all day
- Fall 4, open from 4:00pm instead of noon
- Winter 16 (Doctor's appointment)
JojaMart
Your old employer, JojaMart, can also be found in Pelican Town. It is located on the east side of the town, above the Blacksmit.
At JojaMart, you can perform a few actions:
- Buy seasonal seeds, like Parsnip, Tomato and Corn
- Buy items, like furniture, flooring and an Auto-Petter
- Sign up to the Joja Membership
- Purchase Community Development Projects, like the Minecarts and Bus Service
The cost of seeds are higher at JojaMart than at Pierre's General Store. If you decide to buy the Joja Membership (you shouldn't!), the prices drop to the same level as Pierre's.
The JojaMart is open every day. The shop opening hours are from 9:00am to 11:00pm, so longer than Pierre's General Store.
As soon as you complete the Community Center, JojaMart will close down for good.
