Abylight Studios, the developer of strategy game Citadelum, has just released its second highly anticipated expansion pack, "The Lost Eagles of Germania."

This new DLC invites players into a new era of the Roman Empire and adds campaign, improvements and (finally!) the Italian localization.

A New Expansion of the Citadelum Empire

In The Lost Eagles of Germania, players are introduced to a world where the ancient Romans met their greatest opponents. The free DLC expands on Citadelum’s established narrative by following the journey through Germania.

Historically, Germania was an area of Europe where the Roman Empire suffered crushing defeats. Seeing as Citadelum revolves around the city building of that same Roman Empire, it will be interesting to see how these new missions turn out.

The Lost Eagles of Germania is a 3 mission campaign which starts at 9 AD. It features deeper challenges than the base game or the campaign added in the second DLC, The Last Conqueror of Britannia.

New Content and Features

As said, the DLC The Lost Eagles of Germania introduces 3 additional missions and challenges that expand the existing narrative. Aside from the new missions, version 1.1.0.5 of Citadelum also offers new gameplay mechanics and additional objectives. Developers have added multiple bug fixes and improvements to the gameplay.

New graphics have been added. Buildings like the reservoir, houses and walls feature more wood as building materials. Temples have also received an upgrade.

No release notes have been published, which is a shame. Once we play the game, we'll be sure to notify you of any new things that pop up.

Availability

"The Lost Eagles of Germania" is available for download now on both Steam and GOG. While the Citadelum base game was already available on GOG, the addition of the DLCs on this platform is a new offering to players using GOG for their games.
