Are you stuck? Here are a few pointers to get you going.
- There are 5 combinations to pencil in at the start.
- In Top Row, Left Column, 2 combinations for sum 14 can be found. As sum 14 only has 2 possible combinations, you know which 4 numbers you will need for those.
- You now also know which numbers are left. That leaves 1 possible combination for sum 11.
- You now have 3 numbers remaining for TRLC which you can fill in straight away.
- Moving on to the MRLC, you can fill in the 3 combinations spanning over from the block above it. That means you also know which combination is used for sum 15 and which 3 numbers are left for the bottom row of this block. You can fill these in, as the 2 can only go in 1 of the 3 available fields.
- Continue with the Bottom Row, Left Column. You can fill in the fields spanning over from the block above it and fill in sum 10, pencil in sum 5 and are left with 3 fields you can pencil in.
- Do some cleanup in the Left Column by using the row matching strategy. After you're done, you will only have 2 combinations in pencil left in the whole Column.
