Okay, most free updates anyway. As long as they introduce something cool, I'm here for it.
Avast, ye mateys! The latest update for SteamWorld Build introduces a new map, which is always cool.
Oh! And did I mention... it's Pirate themed?!
Skull Valley 🏴☠️
The new map is called Skull Valley and, as the name might imply, it's pirate themed. According to the developers:
Explore a brand new map filled with piratey perils and opportunities. Build your town amidst palm trees, cannons, and the looming shadow of the Kraken!
How cool is that?!

Down in the Skull Valley Mine you can dig up valuable resources to expand your ever growing collection. Ahoy to the booty!
A new restaurant in pirate style! This is a reward building, which will bring its own tune and show to entertain all your pirate lovin' bots.
Introducing McCraken’s: More than a restaurant, it’s a swashbuckling spectacle!
And of course, what would a new map be if there weren't any new decorations, like anchors, kegs and palm trees.
