The Killer Sudoku puzzle
Tips to solve
Are you stuck? Here are a few pointers to get you going.
- Only 2 combinations of 3 are available at the start. Pencil those in. Unfortunately, no 4, 16 or 17.
- Use the 45-rule to fill in combination 8 in TRRC (Top Row, Right Column).
- This allows you to use the 45-rule on combination 11 in TRMC (Top Row, Middle Column), which in turn allows you to use the 45-rule on combination 9 in MRMC.
- Use the 45-rule to fill in combination 10 in BRLC (Bottom Row, Left Column). Now you can fill in the 1 and 2 in MRLC.
- From here, you can at least pencil in all numbers in the Middle Column. Once you're done doing that, you will have filled in 14 definite numbers in that column.
- Focus on the BRbr (Bottom Row, bottom row) by using the row strategy, then on the BR as a whole.
